Mr Jeremiah Ndika Akhonya – Class 7

Mr Jeremiah Ndika Akhonya joined Destiny Garden School in January 2013, having previously taught at Harambee Gardens from 2009 to April 2012 and then at St Elizabeth Primary Academy. He is a very experienced teacher and has taught at class 7 and 8 level with an excellent track record of getting his students through the KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education).

Mission Statement: To produce world class citizens through quality education.

Dixon Odoyo Muga – Class 6

Dixon Muga is the class 6 teacher at destiny garden School and specializes in Mathematics teaching classes 4, 5 and 6. Dixon joined Destiny Garden School February in 2012. He qualified from Migori teachers college in 2010 and taught in Mnazi Moja Academy School and Mwamba Academy for two years.

Alango Moses – Deputy head Teacher

Mr. Alango Moses is an alumna of Komagambo Adventist College where he specialised in social studies and Christian religious education. He teaches these subjects in class 4, 5 and 6 at Destiny garden School and is the Deputy Head Teacher. Mr Moses has worked at Destiny Garden School since January 2011. He previously taught at Hope Academy –Sindo, Kisumu for 2 years.

Mission statement: To be a role model to the children by guiding them to be responsible citizens and also explore their talents.

Madam Catherine Mutuku – Class 5

Catherine Mutuku is the class 5 teacher at Destiny Garden School and teaches English in class 6, Christian Religious Education (C.R.E) in class 2 and 3 as well as Kiswahili in classes 2 and 3. She is Head of the English department in the school. She joined Destiny Garden School in February 2012. Madam Catherine qualified as a teacher from Shanzu teachers college and taught at Shasa Academy for 3 months before joining Destiny Garden School.

Mission Statement: To ensure the children at Destiny Garden School have the skills to enable them to fit and adjust in today’s society.

Madam Consolata Kamegele Sila – Class 4

Consolata Kamegele Sila is the Head teacher and class 4 teacher at Destiny Garden School.  She specialises in Mathematics teaching classes 2 and 3, and also Science teaching classes 4 and 6. Madam Consolata joined Destiny Garden School in January 2011. She qualified from Murang’a Teachers training college in 2007 and taught in Bushbells Preparatory school for 2 years.

A class 2 teacher at Destiny Garden School who specialises in English and Social studies teaching classes 4 and 5. Madam Tabitha joined Destiny Garden School in February 2012. She qualified from Kilimanjaro Teachers college in 2009 and taught at Shelly Academy and Mount Sinai Academy for 3 years.

A class 1 teacher at Destiny Garden School who teaches all subjects in that class. She joined destiny Garden School in February 2012. Madam Penina qualified from Meru teachers Training College in 2008 and taught at St Kevin Academy and Harambee Garden School for 4 years before joining DGS.

Mariam Salim Chimeste – I.R.E. Teacher

A teacher at Destiny Garden School who specialises in I.R.E (Islamic religious Education) teaching classes 2,3,4,5, 6 and 7. She also teaches Swahili in class 4, 5 and 6.

Madam Mariam joined Destiny Garden School in February 2012. She qualified from Islamic teacher’s training College in 2008 and taught at Zimlat primary school in Shanzu-Mombasa for 2 years and also Infill Academy in Nairobi for 6 months.

Mission statement: To teach and guide the children to grow morally, socially and academically in order to fit in society. To develop the child’s knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enhance acquisition of sound moral values and help them to grow up to be self-disciplined and self-reliant.

Naomi Moraa is the KG3 teacher at Destiny Garden School teaching all the subjects in that class. She joined Destiny Garden School in January 2010. Madam Naomi qualified from Angelio teachers College in 2008 and had been teaching in Ogembo Academy for 6 months, prior to that.

Mission Statement: To teach and guide pupils to grow morally, spiritually, socially and academically in order to fit in the society. As a teacher I would guide and help the children to explore and nurture their talents.

Madam Betty Atieno – Class KG2

Betty Atieno is the teacher in charge of the KG2 at Destiny Garden School. She joined Destiny Garden School in January 2011 and qualified from Kilifi Diocese College in the year 2009 with a certificate and is currently undertaking a Diploma course at the same College. Madam Betty has previous work experience with Consolata Nursery School and St.lazarus Nursery School where she taught from 2006-2009.

Susan Zawadi Mwatando is the Kindergarten 1 teacher at Destiny Garden School and teaches all subjects at nursery level. Madam Susan joined Destiny Garden School in July 2009. She qualified from Matuga early childhood development education college in 2006 and taught at South Side Baptist Church nursery for 7 years before joining Destiny Garden School.

Veronica Kemboi is the baby class teacher at Destiny Garden School and teaches all the subjects at nursery level. Madam Veronica Joined Destiny Garden School in May 2007. She qualified from Shammar teachers college in 2005 and taught at Hills academy school for 2 years before joining Destiny Garden School.
